The No. 17 Montana Tech volleyball team wraps up the regular season this week. The Orediggers host Montana Western in their final home match of the season on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the HPER. On Friday, Tech travels north to wrap up the Frontier Conference schedule in Havre at MSU-Northern.
The Orediggers (19-8, 5-3) won both matches last week and are on a two-game winning streak. Tech came from two sets back to defeat Carroll College in five last Wednesday. On Saturday, the Orediggers revenged an earlier conference loss to Rocky Mountain by sweeping the Battlin' Bears.
Tech is currently in second in the Frontier standings with a 5-3 record. The Saints also have a 5-3 record, but Tech wins the tie breaker. Providence is still sit atop the standing with an 8-0 record in conference play. MSU-Northern, Rocky, and Montana Western round out the standings.
The Frontier Conference Tournament is November 12-13 in Helena. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. All teams will play in a first round game this year and no teams automatically move on to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa.
Montana Western (8-12, 1-7) has lost their last three matches. The Bulldogs are last in the conference averaging 10.96 kills a set with a team .116 hitting percentage. Sophomore right side Morgan Stenger leads the attack for the Bulldogs averaging 2.17 kills per set and a .168 hitting percentage. Freshman middle Danyel Martin is averaging 2.0 kills a set and a .300 hitting percentage. Libero Kelsey Goddard is averaging 5.78 digs per set.
MSU-Northern (14-11, 3-5) defeated Montana Tech at the Frontier Conference Preview Tournament hosted in Havre before the start of the conference schedule. The Skylights won their last match against the Bulldogs last week and have won two of their last three. The Skylights are averaging 11.86 kills a set and have a team hitting percentage of .164. Senior outside hitter Rylee Burmester leads the attack averaging 3.25 kills per set and a .130 hitting percentage. Freshman middle Alana Graves is averaging 2.31 kills per set and a .285 hitting percentage.
Junior outside hitter
Maureen Jessop had her best week of the season last week. Jessop was named the Erck Hotel/Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week. Jessop had a dominant performance against the Saints finishing with 22 kills and just one hitting error. The junior outside hitter also had five aces in the match. Jessop had 14 more kills against Rocky on Saturday. The Corvallis, Montana native averaged 4.5 kills per set and had a .423 hitting percentage on the week.
Jessop is currently fifth in the conference in kills per set (2.97), fourth in total kills (276), and sixth in hitting percentage (.241). Jessop also leads the conference in service aces with 43 on the season.

Emma Carvo ranks second and
Sarah Hopcroft is third in the league in total aces with 38 and 32.
Sophomore libero
Sarah Hopcroft has settled in to her defensive role this season. Hopcroft is third in the conference in total digs (492) and fifth in digs per set (5.29).
The Orediggers rank second in the conference in blocks this season. Tech has 233 on the year and is averaging 2.43 per set. Senior middle
Sydney Parks is third in the league with 103 blocks on the season.
Taylor Henley is fifth with 92.
