Salem, Oregon – Montana Tech women's basketball won their second straight game outpacing Corban 72-56.
The Orediggers (5-3) outscored the Warriors in the first half 40-24 and held the lead through the second half.
Tech shot 41.4 percent from the floor, went 4 for 11 from three point range, and hit 10 of 13 from the free throw line.
Mollie Peoples was 2 for 2 from long and finished 4 of 6 from the field with 11 points and three rebounds.
Brooke Heggie led the Orediggers with 16 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds.
Corban shot 36.5 percent from the field and went 4 for 10 from beyond the arc.
Gemma LaVergne did most of the scoring for the Warriors with 26 points and two rebounds. Holly Golenor finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds.
Montana Tech is at Bushnell Saturday for their second matchup against the Beacons.
