BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech men's basketball opened their home schedule and the Montana Tech Tip Off Classic with a convincing victory against Dickinson State 63-51.
The Orediggers (2-1) led 39-32 at the break shooting 42.9 percent in the first half. Tech finished shooting 39.3 percent from the field.
The Blue Hawks shot 45.8 percent from the field in the first half and finished with a 40 percentage in the game. Dickinson committed 19 turnovers.
Sindou Diallo led the Orediggers wth 17 points on 7 of 16 shooting. He also had four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Caleb Bellach scored all 13 points in the first half. Bellach had four rebounds.
Taylor England had seven points and eight boards.
Derrius Collins had seven points and three rebounds.
Cody Baumstarck came off the bench going 2-for-2 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free throw line finishing with nine points. The senior finished with six rebounds.
Aushanti Potts-Woods led the Blue Hawks with 11 points. Jalon Tinnin had eight.
Montana Tech faces Walla Walla tomorrow at noon.
