BUTTE, Mont. – The Montana Tech women's basketball team earned their first win downing Walla Walla 69-50.
The Orediggers (1-2) won their first game of the Montana Tech Tip Off Classic and face William Jessop tomorrow night.
Tech took a 35-23 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Orediggers shot 41.8 percent from the field but hit just 3 of 15 from long.
The Wolves shot 33.3 percent from the field and made 5 of 17 from three point range.
Tech dominated the boards outrebounding Walla Walla 49-20.
Madison Allen,
McKayla Kloker, and
Tavia Rooney all had eight points.
Ally Cleverly had seven.
Celestina Faletoi led the rebounding effort with seven boards.
Tavia Rooney and
Aubrie Rademacher had six a piece.
Isabella Robles and Carolina Montes had 12 points each for the Wolves. Robles also had six rebounds.
