BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech men's basketball opened the Frontier Conference slate by rolling past Montana Western 87-75.
The Orediggers (8-3, 1-0) expanded on their first half lead 48-40 to get the win.
Tech shot 66.7% from the field in the first half and finished shooting 56.5% for the game. The Orediggers hit 9 of 13 from long.
The Bulldogs (9-4, 0-1) shot 51% from the field and hit 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.
Sindou Diallo led the Orediggers shooting 7 of 11 from the field with 18 points.
Taylor England had 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Caleb Bellach finished with 15 points, four assists, and three rebounds.
Derrius Collins went 4 for 4 from three point range with 12 points and five rebounds.
Jalen Hodges led the Bulldgos with 23 points and Ky Kouba had 20.
Montana Tech has their second conference game of the season Saturday when they travel to Rocky Mountain.
