BUTTE, Mont.- Montana Tech's
Mesa Williams had a big afternoon in her final home game on Kelvin Sampson Court leading the Diggers to wire-to-wire victory over the Skylights, 62-55.
Williams scored a season-high 20 points on 7-for-16 shooting and dished out four assists for the Diggers who improved to 5-13 on the season. The Diggers started out hot building a double-digit lead at the end of the first quarter and taking a 34-27 halftime lead.Â
Montana Tech's home court advantage served them well as the Diggers shot 44.2 percent from the floor and were 8-for-17 from downtown.
Madison Allen scored 11,
Aubrie Rademacher scored 10,
Dani Urick added eight,
Mollie Peoples scored six,
Soda Rice three, and
Brooke Heggie and Jaden comings added two.Â
Tiara Gilham led the Lights scoring 15 points.Â
Montana Tech travels to MSU-Northern on Thursday for the first round of the Frontier Conference tournament. The game will tip off at 5 p.m.
