BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech surged ahead in the final minutes downing Rocky Mountain 76-68.
Montana Tech (17-5, 6-1) win their fourth straight.
Rocky led 54-53 with 9:09 to go in the second half.
Caleb Bellach took a hard foul that led to double technical. Bellach made both free throws to put Tech ahead 55-54. Tayshawun Bradford hit only one for Rocky tying the game at 55.
Bellach hit a pair of three-pointers off the fouls to put Tech ahead 61-55.
Rocky trailed by four points with four minutes to play in the game. The Orediggers outscored the Battlin' Bears 12-8 in the final minutes.
The Orediggers finished shooting 48.1% from the field and shot 8 of 20 from deep.
Sindou Diallo led the Oredggers with 21 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Bellach finished with 18 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Taylor England and 11 points and seven rebounds.
Bradford led the Bears with 14 points. Abdul Bah had 13.
Montana Tech hosts No. 6 Carroll College Saturday.
