BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech proved they are one of the top teams in the Frontier Conference downing No. 6 Carroll College 73-58.
The Orediggers (18-5, 7-1) move ahead of the Saints and are on top in the Frontier Conference standings.
Tech bolted out of the gates leading 15-8 after the first five minutes in the game. The Orediggers took a 41-30 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Orediggers shot 46.8% from the field while the Saints finished shooting 36.1% and hit just 2 of 16 from long.
Sindou Diallo led the Orediggers with 19 points, five assists, and four rebounds.
Caleb Bellach had 13 points and five rebounds.
Taylor England had nine points and eight boards.
Keeley Bake had nine points coming off the bench going 2 for 3 from beyond the arc.
Jovan Sljivancanin led the Saints with 26 points and 13 rebounds.
Montana Tech travels to Great Falls to face Providence Thursday.
