BUTTE, Mont. – The No. 15 Rocky Mountain Battlin' Bears were too much for the Orediggers handing them a 71-48 loss.

The Orediggers (11-11, 2-5) struggled shooting finishing with a 33.3% field goal percentage.

The Bears shot 43.8% from the field and outrebounded the Orediggers 33-29.

Mollie Peoples led Tech with 14 points. The senior hit 4 for 4 from beyond the arc.

Brooke Heggie had 10 points and six rebounds.

Tavia Rooney had a game-high 13 rebounds and finished with eight points.

N'Dea Flye led the Bears with 21 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.

Kloie Thatcher had 11 points, four steals, and three assists.

The Orediggers face another tough Frontier Conference opponent on Saturday when No. 6 Carroll College comes to Butte.
