GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The Montana Tech women's basketball offense stalled in the fourth quarter falling to Providence 66-52.
The Orediggers (9-10, 0-4) dropped their fourth Frontier Conference game.
Tech led 46-40 going into the final quarter of the game, but the Orediggers didn't score until 1:59 left in the game. The Argos put together a 15-0 run during the final frame.
The Orediggers committed 19 turnovers in the game and nine of them came in the final quarter.
Tavia Rooney led the Orediggers with 14 points, six rebounds, and four blocks.
Mollie Peoples 13 points and shot 3 for 5 from beyond the arc.
Dani Urick had seven points and five rebounds.
Ally Cleverly had six points off the bench.
Parker Esary had 26 points for the Argos. Emilee Maldonado had 16 and Reed Hazard finished with 15 points.
Montana Tech is on the road next Thursday at MSU Northern.
