WACO, Texas – The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) released the 2022 NAIA Coaches' All-America Teams today. Montana Tech Oredigger Trevor Hoffman was selected for the Honorable Mention All-America team.

Hoffman is one of eight Frontier Conference athletes named to the All-America teams.

Hoffman, a senior wide receiver from Renton, Washington, led the Frontier Conference in receptions (50) and receiving yards (757) this season. Hoffman hauled in six touchdown catches putting him in third in the conference rankings. He had two games with over 100 yards receiving and caught a season high eight receptions twice.

Hoffman finished his final season as an Oredigger breaking two career marks. Hoffman has the most receiving yards in school history with 2,897. He also broke the career touchdown mark with his 26^th touchdown reception this year. Hoffman is second on the reception list with 184 catches just behind Dion Williams. Williams, who was a senior Hoffman's freshman year, was the record holder in receiving yards and touchdowns.  

The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know the players the best, the coaches themselves.

The AFCA's NAIA All-America Selection Committee is made up of two head coaches from each of the AFCA's seven districts, one of whom serves as a district chairman, along with another head coach who serves as the chairman of the selection committee.

The coaches in each district are responsible for ranking the top players in their respective districts prior to a conference call between the district chairmen and the committee chairman on which the team is chosen.
