WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced the Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week today. Montana Tech's Drake Schlachter was named the Field Athlete of the Week.  
 
Schlachter, a freshman from Penn Valley, California, participated at the Mountain States Games hosted by Idaho State in Pocatello, Idaho over the weekend. Schlachter won the men's long jump with a jump of 6.78 meters or 22'3". The jump was a personal best for Schlachter as he bested competition from the NAIA and NCAA Division I and II.
 
The conference award is the second for Schlachter this season.
