HELENA, Mont. -- Seven Montana Tech volleyball student-athletes earned Academic All-Conference honors, the Frontier Conference office and award sponsors Billings Clinic and Logan Health announced this week.

Alexis Umland; juniors
Abby Clark,
Malia Harris, and
Kinnidi Willmore; and sophomore
Rhys Layton all made the grade for the Orediggers.
Student-athletes must be sophomores or above and maintain 3.25 cumulative grade-point average to be eligible. A total of 57 volleyball players from across the Frontier made the grade.
Montana Tech's volleyball team checked in 17th in the latest NAIA national rankings and carries a 19-9 record and the No. 2 seed into this weekend's conference tournament at MSU-Northern. Tech earned a first-round bye by means of its 11-4 conference record and will face the highest remaining seed from the first round in the late semifinal Friday at 7:30 p.m.
