Box Score MOSCOW, Idaho -- Despite 16 points from
Hadley Humphreys and 10 from
Halle Haber, the Montana Tech women's basketball team dropped a 94-54 decision at NCAA Division I member Idaho Wednesday afternoon.
Humphreys, a junior from Blackfoot, Idaho, added two assists and two steals in her return to the Gem State.
Macy Mayer chipped in team-highs in rebounds (8) and assists (3) for the Orediggers, who saw their five-game win streak snapped with the loss.
Montana Tech (5-2) got out to the early lead on a Mayer second-chance jumper, and the teams were tied, 7-7, 3 minutes into the game. But the Vandals' Hope Hassmann sank a 3-pointer to start a 10-0 Idaho run, and the home team took it from there.
Aubrie Rademacher added nine points and three rebounds for the Orediggers. Anja Bukvic led Idaho with 24 points and seven boards.
Earlier Wednesday, Montana Tech received votes in the latest NAIA top 25 poll. It was the first time since December 2019 that the Orediggers earned nods in the national poll, which is voted upon by a panel of 20 NAIA coaches nationwide.
After beginning the season with a loss, the Orediggers won five-straight games prior to Wednesday's defeat. Tech is 3-0 at home and will return to Kelvin Sampson Court next Friday, December 6 for a noon tipoff against St. Mary's (Alberta).
