HELENA, Mont. -- Jadyn Vermillion continues to set records for the Montana Tech women's track & field program, and she continues to win awards in the process. The senior put up another record-breaking long jump this weekend, earning herself another Frontier Conference indoor field athlete of the week award.
The Myrtle Creek, Ore. native leapt 5.68 meters to win her event at the Spokane Indoor Challenge on Saturday, topping the Oredigger record she set just over a month prior by .03 meters.
Vermillion also ran the 60m hurdles in Saturday's competition, finishing 26th in 9.76 seconds.
It was the second Frontier athlete of the week award of the season for Vermillion and the fourth of her career.
She and the Oredigger track & field teams will return to competition later this week at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial at University of Idaho.
