BUTTE, Mont. -- Behind double-figure scoring from Michael Ure, Ifeanyi Okeke, and Keeley Bake, the No. 6-ranked Montana Tech men's basketball team cruised to an 82-56 Frontier Conference win over MSU-Northern Thursday evening on Kelvin Sampson Court.

Ure led the way for the Orediggers (13-2, 1-1 Frontier) with a 20-point, nine-rebound effort. Okeke chipped in 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, and Bake went 5-for-7 from 3-point territory on his way to 15 points. Bake also added four assists.

The Orediggers took control in the early going, beginning the game with a 10-2 run. Northern cut the lead to two at the 12:53 mark in the first half, but Tech mustered another run. Bake's 3 at the 9:49 mark gave the Diggers their first double-digit lead of the game, and Tech extended the advantage to 40-24 by the halftime break. Okeke led Tech at the half with 12 points.

Bake hit four of his five 3s in the second half to help the Orediggers extend the lead. Tech pushed the gap to 26 points in the late going and cruised to victory.

Hayden Diekhans filled up the stat sheet for Montana Tech as well, piling up seven points, eight rebounds, and four assists. The Orediggers dominated the game in the paint, outscoring the Lights, 44-16, in the lane, and Tech's defense held MSU-Northern without a second-chance point in the game.

Cinque Maxwell led the Lights (6-9, 0-2) with 17 points.

Montana Tech will remain home Saturday to take on archrival Carroll College. Tip on Kelvin Sampson Court is scheduled for 4 p.m.
