BUTTE -- Montana Tech volleyball and head coach
Brian Solomon are thrilled to announce the program's 2025 game schedule.
The Orediggers are fresh off another successful campaign in 2024, one that saw the team reach a fourth-straight NAIA national tournament. Montana Tech finished with a 20-12 record and was ranked No. 21 in the country in the postseason top-25 poll.
The 2025 schedule will look quite different from what Oredigger fans are accustomed to given the expansion of the Frontier Conference. Six new conference opponents — Bellevue, Bismarck State, Dakota State, Dickinson State, Mayville State, and Valley City State — join the Frontier fold, and Montana Tech will have home-and-home series with each of the 11 conference opponents.
The season begins, as always, with the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge. This year's tournament will be a three-day, 11-team jamboree on two courts at the Butte Civic Center from August 21-23. After that, the Orediggers head to Williamsburg, Ky. For three matches at the Cumberlands Invitational.
The home schedule begins in earnest Wednesday, September 10 when rival Montana Western pays a visit to Kelvin Sampson Court.
Despite the new-look conference, the Orediggers won't have to venture far to begin postseason play; the 2025 Frontier Conference championship will be at Carroll College in Helena November 13-15.
