BUTTE -- Montana Technological University and director of athletics Matt Stepan are honored to announce the members of the Montana Tech Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
The Orediggers will be inducting three former student-athletes, one coach, and two contributors at a ceremony Friday, October 24. The class will also be recognized at Montana Tech's home football game versus Mayville State the following afternoon.
Let's meet the class of 2025:
Individuals
Adam Greger '15, men's basketball
A prolific scorer and centerpiece of Montana Tech men's basketball in the early 2010s, Adam Greger finished his career with 1,867 points and 600 rebounds, earning NAIA All-America Honorable Mention and three All-Frontier Conference selections, including a first-team nod as a senior. He ranks second all-time in career points at Montana Tech. As a senior, the Florence native led the Frontier in scoring at 18.8 points per game while also ranking among league leaders in field-goal percentage and rebounding.
Pat Hansen '15, football
Hansen graduated as Montana Tech's all-time rushing leader with 4,486 career yards, surpassing Don Heater's 43-year-old mark. A workhorse back and cornerstone of the 2012 Frontier Conference championship and NAIA tournament team, the Ekalaka product paired volume with efficiency and big-game production, including a program-record five rushing touchdowns in a single game. He earned multiple All-Frontier honors across his career and capped his tenure with Tech's Ed Simonich Award as the top senior football player in 2014.
Korey Krumm '15, volleyball
A dominant middle blocker and cornerstone of the Orediggers' early-2010s resurgence, the Anaconda native graduated as a Tachikara–NAIA All-America Honorable Mention and a two-time first-team All-Frontier Conference selection. She surpassed 1,000 career kills, led the league in hitting percentage as a senior (ranking fourth nationally), and earned Montana Tech's Peggy Sarsfield Award as the campus' top female student-athlete. Krumm's production, efficiency, and consistency anchored Tech's competitive climb and set a performance standard for future front-court players.
Coach
Doug Schleeman, football
For three decades, Schleeman has been a cornerstone of Oredigger football, shaping the experience and outcomes of hundreds of student-athletes. His continuity, teaching, and mentorship have spanned multiple head coaches and competitive eras, contributing to championship-caliber teams and postseason runs while upholding academic standards and personal development. Schleeman was the NAIA's assistant football coach of the year in 2010. He exemplifies the day-to-day excellence, care, and integrity that define Montana Tech. Originally from Nebraska, Schleeman had a decorated playing career at Peru State before coaching at his alma mater, Shields Valley High School in Clyde Park, Chadron State College in Nebraska, and Kemmerer High School in Kemmerer, Wyo. He joined Montana Tech's staff in 1996.
Contributors
Dr. Nick DiGiovine
An orthopedic surgeon and longtime team physician for Oredigger athletics whose leadership, philanthropy, and athlete-safety advocacy elevated Montana Tech for decades. In 1997, he helped launch the St. James/Montana Sports Medicine program that contiues to supply athletic trainers and physician coverage to Montana Tech and the region. He later led concussion-safety initiatives locally. A former Montana Tech Foundation board member and key donor to the Student Success Center, Dr. DiGiovine's impact spans competitive care, student-athlete welfare, and community support. As a past Pittsburgh Steelers team physician, he brought elite sports-medicine standards to Butte.
Mitzi Daly
A longtime volunteer and community leader, Daly has been a devout Oredigger booster for more than 50 years. She and her husband, Jim, have been staples at games, events, and fundraisers, always finding ways to support student-athletes and deepen community pride. For decades, she was the face of the Student Union Building, working directly with students and student-athletes and making a positive impact on thousands through daily guidance, care, and connection. Daly also served for many years as the staff sponsor of the football M-Club, mentoring student leaders and strengthening the bridge between campus and the Butte community. Her steadfast service and generosity embody the spirit of Oredigger athletics.
These individuals exemplify the hall of fame's pillars of pride, dedication, excellence, and leadership in their various roles supporting Montana Tech athletics. Event information for the 2025 Montana Tech Hall of Fame inductions will be available in the coming weeks.
