BUTTE -- Camdyn LaRance scored a game-high 23 points, leading four Orediggers in double figures as the No. 19-ranked Montana Tech men's basketball team rolled to an 80-66 win over visiting Providence Friday evening in Valley Bank Arena.  

LaRance added six rebounds and three assists to his tally, and Karson Peffer (18 points), Brayden Koch (12), and Hayden Diekhans (11) all topped the 10-point plateau. 

Montana Tech (13-3, 7-3 Frontier Conference) rushed out to a 14-7 lead in the game's early going and pushed the lead to 10 by the 8:22 mark in the first half, but Providence hung around. 

The Argos (2-14, 2-8) used an 11-0 run late in the first half to claim their first lead of the game, 29-28, with 4:41 until half. LaRance knocked down a 3-pointer on Tech's next possession to put the Orediggers back in front, and the home team took a 37-35 lead into intermission. 

Tech put together another run to start the second half, scoring the first seven points of the period, and moved the lead back into double digits on Koch's 3-pointer with 16:50 remaining. The Orediggers led by double digits for most of the second half on their way to victory. 

Peffer added a game-best seven assists for the Orediggers, while Koch led the defensive effort with three steals. 

Marvel Chambers Jr. set the pace for UP with 17 points off the bench. 

Montana Tech will look to extend its win streak to six games Saturday at 7 p.m. when MSU-Northern comes to town.
