HELENA -- Casha Corder turned in another top-five performance Tuesday at the Carroll College Classic, leading the Montana Tech women's golf team to a fifth-place finish.
Corder, a junior from Fort Benton, carded a second-round 80 on the par-72, 5,887-yard Bill Roberts Golf Course to finish the tournament a 9-over. That was good enough for fifth. Corder made three birdies on the back nine in the effort.
Sophomore Keni Wade enjoyed her best round of the season, coming in at 4-over 76 with a pair of birdies on the scorecard. Wade tied for 16th at 16-over for the tournament.
Fellow sophomores Olivia McGreevey (80-85–165, 23rd) and Ryann Walker (84-86–170, t-25th) also checked into the top 25 on the leaderboard.
Montana Tech's women took fifth, shooting team scores of 321 and 327. The Orediggers were 54 shots clear of sixth-place Mayville State and finished just eight behind fourth-place Dickinson State. Rocky Mountain won the team title at 27-over-par 603.
