DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- The Montana Tech women's golf team played its way into fifth place on Day 1 of the season-opening Mayville Fall Invite Monday.
Led by junior
Casha Corder's 7-over-par 79, the Orediggers carded a team score of 345 on the par-72, 5,824-yard track at Wildflower Golf Course. The Fort Benton native had a team-best 10 pars on the day and logged a birdie on No. 1 in her first round of 2026-27.
Sophomore
Keni Wade (84), junior
Delaney Clark (90), and sophomore
Olivia McGreevey (92) rounded out the scoring for Tech.
Playing as an individual, sophomore
Ryann Walker posted a 9-over 81.
Wade had the hole of the day for the Orediggers, sinking an eagle putt on the par-5 second. Walker birdied on No. 12.
Corder tops the leaderboard for Tech in a tie for sixth, while Walker sits tied for eighth. Wade also jumped into the top 15, sitting deadlocked at 13th.
Montana Tech's women aren't far from moving up the leaderboard. The Orediggers trail fourth-place Dickinson State by just seven strokes and third-place Carroll by nine. Rocky Mountain leads the field midway through the tournament at 24-over.
The Orediggers will tee off on Day 2 of the tournament Tuesday morning.
