BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- Hayden Diekhans collected a double-double, Josh Coulanges totaled six points and six assists, but it wasn't enough for the Montana Tech men's basketball team to topple Oklahoma Wesleyan Saturday night.
The Eagles knocked off the Orediggers, 67-46, in the second round of the NAIA national tournament.
Eighth-seeded Montana Tech (23-9) made the game an early battle, but a 9-0 OKWU run late in the first half gave the home team a lead it never relinquished.
The Orediggers shot just 18.5 percent in the first half, going 5-for-27 in the field to trail 29-13 at the break.
Tech's defense was nearly as good. Top-seeded Oklahoma Wesleyan was just 11-for-32 in the opening 20 minutes.
The Eagles then began the second on a 6-0 run and held on from there. The deficit never again got below 19 points.
Humberto Kenish, Jr. led OKWU with 13 points and six rebounds.
Montana Tech ends the season on the heels of the program's fifth-straight NAIA postseason appearance and fifth-consecutive 20-win season.
