BOZEMAN -- Montana Tech's track & field teams enjoyed a successful tune-up for the NAIA outdoor championship meet Friday in Bozeman, winning five events at the Tom Gage Classic to wrap up the regular season.
The Orediggers got wins from
Morgan McClernan in the 110m hurdles (14.25 seconds),
Ricky Williams in the high jump (1.95 meters),
Tyler Crum in the javelin (56.19m),
Cameron Tobiness in the triple jump (13.36m), and the men's 4x100m relay of
Aidan Dorr,
Matthew Moreni, McClernan, and
Jaxon Allery (41.66).
Konnor Gregerson chipped in runner-up in the 200m dash, a personal-best 22.64, and the 400m dash (49.79).
Moreni added a runner-up finish in the 400m hurdles, covering the distance in a personal-best 54.08, the 41st-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
Montana Tech will now break for graduation before preparing for the NAIA national meet, scheduled for May 20-22 in Asheville, N.C.
