HELENA -- The Frontier Conference's women's golf coaches voted Montana Tech fifth among the league's eight teams in the annual preseason coaches' poll, the league office announced Thursday.
The Orediggers collected 30 points in the voting, finishing just one point behind Dickinson State for fourth and well ahead of sixth-place Mayville State, which garnered 18 points. Rocky Mountain, the conference's defending champion, led the way with 49 points and six first-place votes. Second-picked Bellevue picked up 42 points and the remaining top nod, while Carroll's 32 points put the Fighting Saints third in the survey.
Montana Tech brings back a pair of all-conference players in junior
Casha Corder and sophomore
Keni Wade for the 2026-27 season. Corder was a second-team All-Frontier honoree a season ago, while Wade earned an honorable mention.
The Oredigger women will tee off the new season September 5-7 at the Butte Country Club's Labor Day Classic before beginning the season in earnest September 21-22 at the Mayville Fall Invite in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
