Diggers Slaughter Saints

Helena, Mont. – The Orediggers descimated the Saints in Helena Wednesday night. The 80-54 victory was the first in the Capital City since 1994.

Montana Tech (11-7, 2-2) gets their second conference win in a row.

Carroll College (1-14, 0-4) stays winless in the Frontier.

Montana Tech dominated from the beginning leading by as many as 16 in the first half.  The Diggers led 40-30 at the break.

Adam Greger had 17 of his 25 points before halftime.

Carroll would pull within five early in the second half, but Tech surged ahead controlling the rest of the game.

Tech shot 55-percent from the field and 33-percent from beyond the arc in the game.

Dominating the boards, the Orediggers outrebounded the Saints 47-25.

Playing with a slight flew, Bryan Bock had his first double-double netting 12 and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Daniel Simon shot 7 of 11 for 16 points and added 8 rebounds to his totals.

Brandon Rydberg was the only other Digger in double figures scoring 11 points with three assists.
