BUTTE, Mont. – The visiting Warriors were hot out of the gate and Tech couldn't quite catch them falling 85-69.
Tech (6-7, 2-5) loses their second straight conference match on the weekend.
Lewis-Clark (20-1, 7-0) continued to show why they are atop the conference with their sixth straight victory.
The Diggers shot 53.1 percent from the field in the game but hit just 9 of 23 from long.
Lewis-Clark shot 61.9 percent in the second half and 57.1 percent in the game. The Warriors hit 21 of 25 from the charity
stripe.
Kabri Emerson and
Bryn Hasquet were the only Diggers in double figures netting 16 each. Emerson also had six rebounds and five assists.
Mandy Machinal had nine points in the game with all of them coming from beyond the arc.
Tanis Fuller led the Warriors and all scorers with 19 points. She added six rebounds and three assists to her totals.
Montana Tech is on the road next weekend when they travel to North Dakota to face Dickinson State.
