Rocky Outguns Diggers

Billings, MT- Rocky Mountain College shot a blistering 56 percent from the floor and hit 13 three pointers to edge Montana Tech 86-101.

"I was very happy with how we competed after a long road trip to Billings," said Coach O'Herron. "They are a top 20 team and when you let them dictate tempo they are tough to beat."

The Orediggers trailed at the end of the first half 42-55 despite Bryan Bock's best efforts. Bock had 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists before the intermission. Bock finished the contest with 25 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. The double-double was Bock's fourth of the year. The senior was 8-14 from the floor and 8-12 from the free throw line.

Brandon Rydberg tallied 16 points going 4-7 from three point land while Antonio Snow and Travis Peevey added 10 apiece.  

Rocky, who had six players score in double digits, was led in scoring by Jeremy Nicolas who had 20.

RMC finished the contest shooting 56 percent from the floor and 48 percent from deep while the Diggers managed 44 percent shooting and only 30 percent from three.

The Orediggers and Battlin' Bears each had 37 rebounds in the contest but Tech collected 14 offensive rebounds.

Montana Tech falls to 5-9 in conference and 13-13 overall.

The Diggers return home for their final two games of the season on Thursday against Western and Saturday against Westminster. Both games are set to tip off at 5:30 p.m. in the HPER.
