Box Score HOUSTON, Texas – The Oredigger men's basketball team had the honor to play Kelvin Sampson's Houston Cougars, and put a good fight for the beginning. The Division I opponent took advantage of the warm up game winning 95-65.
The Orediggers hung with the cougars through the first five minutes, including a five point lead on a
Cruz Ginns Jr. three pointer 8-3. But the Cougars got rolling and
finished the first half with a 49-33 lead.
Point guard
Jalen Coates led the Diggers with 18 points.
Houston native
Akeem Williams and 12 points, five rebounds and four assists in front of his hometown crowd.
Senior
Paul Engstrom had eight points and eight boards.
Montana Tech is on the road again next weekend when they travel to Caldwell, Idaho for a tournament hosted by the College of Idaho.
