Box Score CHANDLER, Ariz. – Darius Clement dropped 28 points to lead William Jessup over Montana Tech 94-72 in the final day of the Chandler-Gilbert Classic.
Clement went 7 for 9 in the game, 2 for 2 beyond the arc and 12 of 13 from the free throw line. He finished with a double-double with 10 rebounds and four assists for the Warriors.
The Orediggers tied the game three times and held a three point lead in the first before William Jessup finished the half on a 13-2 run. The Warriors took a 41-31 lead into the break.
The Warriors outrebounded the Diggers 46-34 and shot 42.9 percent from three as a team.
Jalen Coates led the Diggers with 19 points going 6 for 11. He also grabbed three boards.
Paul Engstrom fouled out but had 12 points and four rebounds. He went 4 for 4 from the free throw line.
Sadiq Inuwa also had four rebounds and six points. Cruz Ginns Jr. had nine points and three rebounds.
Center Andre Smith also had a double-double for the Warriors with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
This is the ninth straight loss for the Orediggers (5-10, 0-2).
Montana Tech is off until after the New Year. The Orediggers travel to Lewiston, Idaho January 2nd starting conference play again at Lewis-Clark State.
