BUTTE, Mont. – The Warriors showed their No. 12 ranking off Saturday night defeating Montana Tech 84-67.
The Orediggers (6-19, 2-12) drop their fourth straight.
Lewis-Clark State was hot out of the gate outscoring the Orediggers 25-12 in the first quarter and 50-23 in the first half. The Warrior shot 58.8 percent from the field in the first half and 50.7 percent in the game. The made 10 of 19 from three point range in the game.
The Orediggers struggled shooting just 24.3 percent in the first half, but came back in the second stanza shooting 37.1 percent in the game. Tech hit 12 of 23 from three.
Hattie Thatcher and Marta Dembek did all of the heavy lifting netting 22 and 24 respectively. Thatcher also had seven assists and four rebounds while Dembek and five boards and three assists.
Four Warriors were in double figures with Brooke Litalien leading the way with 18 points and four rebounds. Megan Risinger had 17 points.
Brittany Tackett had 16 points and seven rebounds and Caelyn Orlandi had 11 points.
Montana Tech is home next week for their final two home games. The Orediggers host Rocky Mountain next Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
