BUTTE- Montana Tech rallied back from 13 points down at halftime to defeat Frontier Conference rival No. 10 Carroll College 73-70 on Thursday night.
The Diggers shot 48 percent from the floor in the second half and scored 45 points to upset the Fighting Saints. The win over Carroll College is the first since the 2014-15 season for Montana Tech.
Leading Montana Tech was point guard
Chris O'Neill who had a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds.
Iman Chatman and
Jake Miles chipped in 12 and 11 points apiece as the Diggers limited Carroll's Ryan Imhoff to just 13 points in the contest. Imhoff only scored two points in the second half.Â
Montana Tech received 20 points off their bench and scored 32 points in the paint.Â
The Diggers improve to 2-7 in Frontier action and 10-10 overall and host Rocky Mountain College Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
