DILLON, Mont. – Montana Tech men's basketball was back in action after being off for over a month against the College of Idaho in Dillon tonight. The Oredigger shooting went cold in the second half falling to the Yotes 79-70.
The Orediggers 51.7 percent from the field in the first half while hitting 5 of 11 from beyond the arc. Tech took a 46-42 lead into the locker room at the break.
But the second half was a different story for the Oredigger shooting. The Orediggers shot 4 of 26 from the field in the second half and missed all five three point attempts. The team finished shooting 34.5 percent from the field.
The Orediggers spent time at the free throw line during the second half going 16 of 22.
The College of Idaho heated up in the second frame outscoring Tech 37-24 while shooting 52 percent in the half. The Yotes finished the game shooting 44.3b percent from the filed and 44 percent three point range.
Taylor England led all scorers with 22 points with most of his scoring coming from the charity stripe. England went 4 for 18 from the field and hit 14 of 15 from the line. He finished with a double-double grabbing 10 boards.
Sindou Diallo had 15 of his 18 points in the first half and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Jalen Galloway led the Yotes with 21 points on 7 of 11 shooting. He hit 3 of 3 from long and grabbed 5 rebounds. Ivory Miles-Williams had 13 points and 8 rebounds.
The Orediggers travel to Cheney, Washington Monday for an exhibition game with Eastern Washington.
