BUTTE, Mont.- No. 11 University of Providence won the rubber match with Montana Tech on Saturday night 92-82 at Kelvin Sampson Court.
The Orediggers (14-11, 6-8 Conf.) led 49-39 at halftime against the Argos but were outscored 53-33 in the second half. Montana Tech finished the night shooting 41.8% from the field while the Argos were an efficient 54.1% from the floor.
Montana Tech was led in scoring by
Taylor England's 21 point performance.
Dylan Pannabecker added 16 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds before fouling out.
Troy Owens Jr. scored 12 while
Drew Huse and
Connor Kieckbusch added 11.
Sindou Diallo had 6 points and
Christian Jones and
Cody Baumstarck added 3 and 2 points respectively. England led the Diggers with 7 rebounds.
Providence was led in scoring by Zaccheus Darko-Kelly who had 37 points.
Montana Tech hosts Carroll College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
