HELENA, Mont.- The No. 7 Fighting Saints played like a top ten team in the country on Saturday night dropping the Diggers 79-42 in Helena.
The Saints finished the night shooting 46.9 percent from the floor and made 11 threes to overpower the Orediggers. Montana Tech trailed 46-15 at the half.
The Diggers shot 34 percent in the contest and were forced into 22 turnovers.
Mesa Williams led Montana Tech with 11 points.
Mollie Peoples and
Celestina Faletoi scored eight,
Dani Urick added six,
Soda Rice four,
Jaden Comings and
Tavia Rooney two, and
McKayla Kloker scored one.
The Saints were led by Dani Wagner's 14 points.
The two teams square off again on Sunday at 2 p.m.
