WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced the Erck Hotels Volleyball Players of the Week awards today. Montana Tech's Sydney Parks was selected Defender of the Week.

Sydney Parks is a 6-foot-3 senior middle blocker from Post Falls, Idaho who helped No. 17 Montana Tech go 2-2 at the Grand View Women's Volleyball Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.

Parks controlled the net as a Middle Blocker recording three solo blocks and had 14 assisted blocks on the weekend.

The Orediggers beat (RV) Ottawa University (Kan.) 3-2 and No. 20 Columbia College (Mo.) 3-2; and lost to No. 2 Viterbo University (Wis) 3-1 and No. 24 Grand View (Iowa) 3-0.

Montana Tech travels to Great Falls this Friday to take on the Argos at the McLaughlin Center at 7 p.m.
