BUTTE, Mont. – Montana Tech made a late charge in the fourth quarter to pull within six points of Montana State Northern but fell short losing 64-57.
The Orediggers (4-13) were even with the Skylights (5-9) after the first quarter, but fell behind going into halftime trailing 39-28 at the break. The Orediggers rallied in the fourth after trailing by 14, but couldn't quite catch the Skylights.
The Orediggers shot 36.2 percent from the field while the lights shot 44.2 percent and hit 7 of 16 from deep.
Mesa Williams shot 8-of-13 from the field and 2-for-4 finishing with 18 points. Williams had 4 assists and 3 steals.
Dani Urick had 12 points and 5 rebounds.
Aubrie Rademacher had 8 points off the bench.
Peyton Kehr led the Skylights with 21 points. Tiara Gilham had 14.
Sydney Hovde had a game-high 11 rebounds, 7 points, and 4 blocks.
Montana Tech host Montana State Northern for the regular season finale tomorrow at 2 p.m.
