NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced the Regional Track & Field Athletes of the Year. Montana Tech's Becca Richtman was named the West Region Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.

Richtman, from Elburn, Illinios, is ranked first nationally in three different individual events. Richtman has the fastest times in the mile (4:49.27c/4:54.89A), 3000m (9:23.98), and the 5000m (16:27.63c/16:51.12A). In all three events, Richtman's times are in the all-time top-10 performances by NAIA athletes.

Regional selections are eligible for the national award.

Richtman will run at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships next week in Brookings, South Dakota.
