MISSOULA, Mont. – The Montana Tech Track & Field Teams competed at the Al Manuel Invitational hosted by the University of Montana Saturday. The Oredigger women were the top performing Frontier Conference institution.
Montana State won the meet with 90 points. The Orediggers scored 18 points finishing in fourth place. Carroll College was in fifth with seven points and Rocky Mountain took sixth with five points.
The Bobcats also won the man's side of the meet with 78 points. The Orediggers finished in sixth scoring four points. The Saints were the top Frontier Conference school finishing in third place with 30 points.
Becca Richtman won the 5000m with a time of 17:09.65 over a minute ahead of the next competitor.
Hailey Nielson finished in third with a time of 18:29.17.
Carlin Manning won the steeple chase with a time of 12:41.90 and
Alisa Hashley took third finishing with a time of 14:02.16.
Natylia Jacobson took fourth in the 100m dash with a time of 12.25 seconds.
Olleca Severson took fourth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.43.
On the men's side, the Orediggers scored in the 4x100m relay with the team of
Caden Caywood,
Tucker Christiansen,
Dom Maricelli, and Drake Schlacter finishing third.
Schlacter finished fourth in the long jump with a jump of 6.47 meters or 21'2.75".
Eli Byrd took fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.5 meters or 37'8.75".
The Orediggers travel to Billings for the Yellowjacket/Battlin' Bears Open Saturday.
