WHITEFISH, Mont. – Montana Tech's Abby Clark and Dom Maricelli are the Frontier Conference/Erck Hotels Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

The Montana Tech Orediggers competed in Billings last week for the Frontier Conference Championships. Both men's and women's Oredigger track & field teams won the Frontier Conference Championship meet.

Clark, a sophomore from Fort Benton, Montana, is the women's field athlete of the week. At the championship meet, Clark won the high jump (1.65 meters) and long jump (5.46 meters) hitting the NAIA B standard in both events. Clark was also the heptathlon champion scoring 4,460 points. Clark scored 42 total points in the meet after finishing second in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 200-meter dash. Clark was named the Frontier Conference Field Athlete of the Meet.

Maricelli, a sophomore from Florence, Montana, is the men's track athlete of the week. At the Frontier Conference Championship, he won the 100-meter (11.32 seconds), 200-meter (22.74), and ran a leg on the winning 4x100 relay. Maricelli scored 30 points for the Orediggers and was named the Frontier Conference Track Athlete of the Meet.

Montana Tech continues the track & field season at the Tom Gage Invite in Missoula on May 5^th as student-athletes continue to try to qualify for the national championship meet.
