HELENA, Mont. -- Days after posting a couple of national top-20 marks, Montana Tech senior Abby Clark landed the Frontier Conference's women's field athlete of the week honor. 

Competing at a pair of meets last week, Clark cleared 5.71 meters in the long jump Thursday at MSU Billings' Yellowjacket Open, the NAIA's ninth-best mark of the young outdoor season. Saturday in Missoula, Clark high-jumped 1.92m at the Al Manuel Invitational; that jump put her 19th on the national leaderboard. 

The Fort Benton native also ran well Thursday. She raced the second-fastest 200m dash in program history at 25.59 seconds, missing her own Montana Tech record by just over .1 seconds. Clark also raced her first 100m hurdles of the season, clocking in at 15.65. 

It is the second athlete of the week honor of the season for Clark and the fifth of the All-American's career. 

The Orediggers composed three-fourths of this week's Frontier track & field honorees — freshman Ayla Janzen won women's track athlete of the week, and freshman Matthew Moreni was voted men's track athlete. 

Montana Tech will continue the outdoor season with a late addition to the schedule — Carroll College's Fighting Saints Open Saturday in Helena.
