BUTTE -- Montana Tech's track & field program and head coach
Chuck Merrifield are excited to announce the Orediggers' 2026 indoor and outdoor schedule.
The season begins Friday in Pocatello, Idaho at Idaho State University's Snake River Open.
Montana Tech will play host to a pair of indoor meets in Bozeman at Montana State's new Kennedy-Stark Athletic Center, scheduled for January 30 and February 14.
The Orediggers will then head to Brookings, S.D. February 21-22 for the first-ever Frontier Conference indoor championship meet and then to Gainesville, Fla. March 5-7 for NAIA indoor championships.
The outdoor season begins March 21 in Billings at the Yellowjackets/Battlin' Bears Open, co-hosted by MSU-Billings and Rocky Mountain.
Tech will have three home meets in the outdoor season, April 4, 11, and 18 at the Charlie Merrifield Track at East Middle School in Butte.
The Orediggers will then compete for the Frontier outdoor championship May 2-3 in Dickinson, N.D. as a prelude to the NAIA outdoor championships, scheduled for May 20-22 in Asheville, N.C.

Montana Tech's women's track & field team is in search of a fifth-straight Frontier Conference outdoor championship this spring, while the men will look for their third title in the last four seasons.
