DICKINSON, N.D. -- Asher Williams scored 14 points,
Camdyn LaRance and
Karson Peffer each added 13, and the No. 19-ranked Montana Tech men's basketball team earned a 77-57 road victory at Dickinson State Saturday in Frontier Conference play.
It was the Orediggers' fourth-straight conference victory, all coming by double digits.
The game was back and forth in the early going before Montana Tech (12-3, 6-3 Frontier) rattled off a 9-0 run midway through the first half.
Dickinson State (5-10, 3-6) hung around through most of the opening period, but a
Brayden Koch 3-pointer at the halftime horn sent the Orediggers into the locker room with a 35-27 lead.
The Blue Hawks continued to stay within striking distance early in the second, cutting the lead to four after Griffyn Doughty's 3 with 10:08 remaining.
But the Orediggers took over in the late going. Williams' bucket on the ensuing possession kicked off a 9-0 Tech run as the Digger D held DSU without a point for more than 4 minutes. The Orediggers continued to build the lead, pushing it to a game-high 20 after
Hayden Diekhans' layup in the waning seconds.
Diekhans finished with seven points to go with 10 rebounds and five assists. Peffer and LaRance tallied up four rebounds apiece.
Montana Tech will look to extend its four-game conference winning streak next weekend when MSU-Northern and Providence pay a visit to Valley Bank Arena.
