HAVRE -- Brayden Koch scored a game-high 26 points,
Camdyn LaRance added 14 points and nine rebounds, and the Montana Tech men's basketball team cruised to a road win at MSU-Northern, 90-63, Saturday evening inside The Armory.
Koch shot 7-for-10 from 3-point range in the win as Montana Tech (20-7, 14-7 Frontier Conference) built an early lead and extended it to roll to victory. He was 9-for-12 from the field overall.
The Orediggers started the game on an 11-5 run powered by 3-pointers by Koch and
Hayden Diekhans, and Tech never trailed in the game. The visitors led 49-27 at halftime, highlighted by Koch's 17 first-half points.
Tech began the second half on an 11-4 run to erase all doubt.
Owen Long dumped in 10 points off the bench in the second half, while Koch and LaRance added nine apiece after the break.
Montana Tech remained tied for fourth place in the Frontier standings with the win, and the Orediggers hold the tiebreak over rival Montana Western in the standings by way of their two wins over the Bulldogs in the regular season.
Tech can cement a high seed in the upcoming conference tournament with a win Saturday at 7 p.m. at Providence.
