GREAT FALLS -- Halle Haber scored 18 points to lead the No. 17-ranked Montana Tech women's basketball team to victory in its final game of the regular season, 79-72, at University of Providence Saturday.

Four Orediggers scored in double figures in the game. Haber led the way with 18 points, while Brooke Badovinac and Avery Carlson each added 12. Hadley Humpherys chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds.

Montana Tech (22-4, 18-4 Frontier Conference) fell behind in the early going, but the Orediggers rebounded to tie the game at 18 after a quarter of play. Haber scored seven of her 18 in the first period.

Providence (15-13, 11-11) began the second with a 6-0 run, but the Orediggers responded to take a seven-point lead later in the period. A Humpherys layup with 38 seconds left until halftime helped Tech head into the break with a 41-37 lead.

Headed into the fourth with the game tied, Rachel Van Blaricom nailed a 3-poninter to put Tech on top, 62-59. Haber scored the Orediggers' final five points of the game to cement the victory.

Montana Tech will head into the postseason as the No. 2 seed in the Frontier Conference tournament and will have a rematch with UP in the quarterfinals Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Butte Civic Center.
