KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Montana Tech women's basketball team moved up two spots to No. 15 in the NAIA coaches' top 25 poll, the national office announced Wednesday with its final regular-season tally.
The Orediggers were a perfect 4-0 in the two weeks since the prior poll, including wins over then-No. 6 Dakota State at home and on the road at MSU-Northern, which was receiving votes. Tech has won six consecutive games.
Montana Tech remained the second-highest ranked Frontier Conference team in the voting. Dakota State fell a spot to No. 7, while Rocky Mountain moved up one place to No. 22. Carroll received votes.
It's the Oredigger women's seventh-straight appearance in the national poll after they were ranked for the first time in program history on November 12.
The team now gears up for postseason play, which begins with the Frontier Conference tournament quarterfinals Friday at 2:30 p.m. against seventh-seeded Providence. The Orediggers are the No. 2 seed in the bracket.
