GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Montana Tech men's basketball's Connor Michaud represented the Orediggers on College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District team, CSC announced Tuesday. 

Michaud, a redshirt sophomore from Missoula, carries a 3.6 GPA in his biological sciences studies. He averaged 4.3 points and 2.5 rebounds as a key piece off the bench for the Orediggers this season, appearing in all 32 games and making three starts. Michaud also contributed 16 assists, 12 steals, and 11 blocked shots. 

The Frenchtown High graduate helped Montana Tech to a 23-9 season in 2025-26, including a fifth-consecutive trip to the NAIA national tournament. The Orediggers won their first-round matchup over Oklahoma City before bowing out in the Round of 32. 

It was the second-career Academic All-District honor for Michaud, who also won the award last season. Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and must have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's games during the current season to be eligible for the award. 

The Academic All-District men's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Started in 1952, the CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
