KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches included Montana Tech men's basketball star Hayden Diekhans on its first-ever NAIA all-region team, the organization announced Thursday.

Diekhans, a senior from Geraldine, was one of 15 players included on the West Region list and one of five to represent the Frontier Conference.

The forward averaged 13.8 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Orediggers in 2025-26 on his way to a second-straight first-team All-Frontier Conference honor. He led Montana Tech in minutes played (1,003), points (442), rebounds (233), assists (78), and steals (42). His seven double-doubles were the most on the team.

One of the most decorated players in the program's history, Diekhans ranks seventh on Tech's all-time scoring list with 1,523 career points. He was the Frontier's player of the year and defensive player of the year in 2024-25, earning second-team All-America honors. In 2023-24, he was the league's defensive player of the year and an honorable mention all-conference player.

Diekhans helped Montana Tech to a 23-9 record this season, including the program's fifth-consecutive NAIA national tournament appearance. The Orediggers topped Oklahoma City in the first round of the tournament before bowing out in the second round.

With his inclusion on the all-region team, Diekhans is eligible for NABC All-America honors. That list will be announced later this spring.
