KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Montana Tech's men's basketball team and five student-athletes garnered academic awards from the National Association of Basketball Coaches, the NABC office announced Wednesday.
The Orediggers' team claimed the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award by virtue of their 3.02 team grade-point average for the 2025-26 academic year.
Meanwhile, five Montana Tech men's basketball student-athletes landed on the NABC's Honors Court list. Student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.2 GPA and earn at least junior status in the classroom to be eligible for the award.
Seniors
Brayden Koch,
Owen Long, and
Levi Torgerson and juniors
Lane Love and
Connor Michaud all made the list.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," NABC executive director Craig Robinson said. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
More than 2,300 collegiate men's basketball players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, while over 400 programs landed the team academic honors.
