KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Montana Tech's basketball junior
Connor Michaud garnered NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, the national office announced Thursday.
Michaud, a biological sciences major from Missoula, averages 4.1 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for the Orediggers.
Student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
He was one of 46 men's basketball student-athletes in the Frontier Conference to land on the list.
Michaud and the Orediggers (22-8) received an at-large bid to the NAIA national tournament. They will begin their quest for the national title Friday, March 13 against Oklahoma City in the Bartlesville, Okla. pod.
