KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Montana Tech's men's basketball team is Oklahoma-bound for the opening rounds of the NAIA national tournament. 

The Orediggers carry a No. 8 seed into the postseason and will play ninth-seeded Oklahoma City Friday, March 13 at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Okla. 

OWU, a No. 1 seed, will play host to 16th-seeded Southern University at New Orleans in the other first-round matchup. The two winners will play Saturday, March 14 for a chance to move on to the Round of 16 at the final site in Kansas City, Mo. 

Montana Tech (22-8) will appear in the national tournament for the fifth-consecutive season. It will be the Orediggers' seventh time in the tournament in program history. Tech is 5-6 all-time in national-tournament play.
